Few days ago we updated our WHM/CPanel to WHM 11.2.0 cPanel 11.6.0-R15076. Since then the CPanel doesn't switch the language, it keeps showing it in English. Is there any problem with this CPanel version regarding the language feature?

I have check the language file and is fine, but is just doesn't seem to make the swicth.

I haven't heard of any issues regarding an inability to switch languages from monitoring the forums and speaking to customers over the past few days. You may want to update to 11.8.0-RELEASE_16295 and see if that resolves the issue. If not, submit a support ticket so our technicians can look into the issue.

    Not working with X skin

The spanish language interface was working with X skin with the previous version of Cpanel, and now doesn't support it for this skin. I am changing to X3 in order to have the Cpanel with the language of my customers.

To use a language file with X3 you will need to ensure that you are using the X3 version of the language file (if available) rather than the X version.

We were on stable 10 when to our horror, we found the upgrading to STABLE have changed our cPanel to 11 instead of the STABLE 10 which we have been using.

We use our own custom language files for cPanel 10 and with the upgrade, our own language files no longer works nor did those provided by cPanel too, like french, chinese, etc.

Anything we need to setup on our server's end to enable these features except the CHANGE LANGUAGE under WHM?

The old language files are not cPanel 11 aware, hence they don't seem to work in a cPanel 11 environment. You can temporarily change your themes back to X or X2 as a quick fix to use those old language files until you can create a cPanel 11 aware translation.

Creating a translation in cPanel 11 is essentially the same procedure as with cPanel 10 except that now since more aspects of our software are language aware, there are far more items that need translation.

From the WHM, we see options are available for CHINESE, FRENCH and a few others. Also, from /usr/local/cpanel/lang, we see that cPanel 11 already comes with a file named chinese.

So our problem now is that its not working at all for the clients, no matter what theme or language we choose under our client's Cpanel interface.

An update on the problem we are facing.

The language files that comes with cpanel 11 will ONLY work on X3 without any garbage characters, change to X or X2 and we see garbage.

    Just a feedback.

The X and X2 themes are provided for legacy purposes only and will soon be deprecated. The new language files are designed specifically for cPanel 11 aware themes such as X3.
