I just upgraded to cPanel 10.2.0-S83 and now my custom language files no longer work. In fact if you try to modify any of the language files cPanel will not reflect the changes.

    Does anyone know what gives???

Mine will change to a different language, but if you try to edit the language file the changes will NOT show up no matter what you do. There must be another set of language files somewhere that cPanel is using besides the ones in /usr/local/cpanel/lang.

Thank you for shaing your find! It worked for me as well!

I found that the files in the /var/cpanel/lang.cache directory seemed to be a backup of copies that were in the /usr/local/cpanel/lang directory, only named with a .cache after them. I had to play with it a bit to get it to work, but to make a long story short I copied my custom backed up file located here:

    /var/cpanel/lang.cache/english.cache

    to:

    /var/cpanel/lang.cache/theme/x/english.cache

... and it worked! Thanks again!
