I have a very busy site that had a logfile get to 2.1 Gig in size. It appeared to have stopped logging at that point.

I restarted Apache, but it still would not add to that file.

I moved it touched a new file, and restarted again, and now we're logging again.

    couple of questions....

    Anyone have this problem before?

If so, is there a way to get the stats to show all of the logs?

I read about piped logs on the Apache site. Is anyone doing that or some other logging method that doesn't have a 2 Gig limit?

    Thanks,
    Chuck

is it the only log file not being written to? Is your partition full?

Why don't you clear it? Save it then clear it if you need to? Test out the 2gb limit yourself?

Just my thoughts, take em or leave em.

Nah, I have 45 accounts on this server. All other log files smaller than this one were being updated. Even files over 1 Gig were still being updated.

I did move it and then touch a new file. Restart Apache, and the new file was being updated.

The only catch is, I have this 2.1 Gig file for activity between Aug 31st, and Sept 14th. Will the Webalizer and AW Stats programs lose any statistics?

Out of all the people using cPanel, I can't imagine I'm the only person with 2 Gig log files.

I'm running the latest stable cPanel on CentOS 3.5 on this server.

    WHM 10.1.0 cPanel 10.2.0-R82
    CentOS 3.5 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

    Thanks,
    Chuck
