    Hi All,

Since upgrading cpanel (latest release version) and Apache after the 2nd warning about insecure apache version I have 4 servers which all seem to be generating large error files in the /var/lib/mysql directory.

The file name is in the following format - servername.domainname.com.err and the whole file consists of multiple entries of:

    /usr/sbin/mysqld: Can't open file: 'smtp.MYI'. (errno: 145)

If anyone can shed any light on this it would be most welcome, seems to increase in size to 2 - 3 Gbytes! I only noticed this once MySql stopped working as the space on my /var partition was 100% utilised.

I can echo "" > /var/lib/mysql/servername.domainname.com.err with no ill effects so I guess this is not a really important file (I copied the file first, just in case something broke!) it is just a mystery as to why this is suddenly happening

    Best Wishes
