    Hello,

I want to configure my server to copy the files more than 2Gb via FTP. Especially to create backups of the large accounts to remote server.
I recompiled Pure-FTP with the option --with-largefile, but it didn't help.
Looks like the current version of Perl doesn't allow to transfer such files(>2Gb)
I got the following error message when I tried to make backup of accounts:
Net::FTP: Unexpected EOF on command channel at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.6/Net/FTP/dataconn.pm line 73
I reinstalled Net::FTP module via cPanel, but it didn't fix the problem too.

Current version of Perl is 5.8.6.

I have another server with the Perl 5.8.4 installed. It works pretty well with such accounts(it makes backups of them without any problem). Both servers are on CentOS release 3.4 (final).

Could anyone explain how to fix that or how to downgrade Perl correctly?
    Thank you.

I am sorry, but that's not a solution. I need to make backups of accounts automatically. I hope somebody knowsm how to configure it properly.
    Thank for the reply.

I'm having the same issue. The transfer breaks at 2.1 GB. Any updates on this?

Have you tried ncftp? I do not believe it has those limitations. Also try wget or rsync. I know that they will work?

I've run into the same problem and have requested that CPanel modify the backup script so that it will split large files. If anyone else is interested in seeing this, please go to http://bugzilla.cpanel.net/show_bug.cgi?id=3959 and vote for this change.
