cPanel is currently v56.0 build 33
WHM got the message that "Last update was blocked"

Was there any advanced notice that 32-bit servers would no longer be supported?

    Mod Edit: Corrected cPanel version

Completely missed any notice since I don't read the blog, also I ouwld have skipped that given title is CentOS 5 and this is CentOS 6.8.

    I typoed - it is v56 build33
It only started showing us that the last update was blocked, and I had to dog further, otherwise I would not have known.

Are important security updates only to March or not even that? Will it break in March ?

    Hello,

cPanel & WHM releases that have reached End of Life:
    • Are unavailable for installation.
    • Will no longer receive fixes or patches from cPanel, Inc.
    • Documentation will be archived.
cPanel won't break, but it's a good idea to work towards migrating to a supported system before the EOL date. The anticipated EOL date for cPanel 56 is April 2017:

cPanel Long-Term Support - Documentation - cPanel Documentation

    Thank you.
