    Hi All,

I have recently installed the latest edge and shortly after found that WHM was simply unusable (couldn't login). I had to wind the system back to fix this and do a reboot from SSH. In case anyone else suffers this the following is how I fixed it:

    1) Login using SSH. (Or telnet).

    Type the following:

    pico /etc/cpupdate.conf
(Note: use nano instead of pick on RHEL systems).
    Change update status to: manual-release

    ctrl+x
    y [enter]

    /scripts/upcp

    once that finishes.

    /sbin/reboot

Let the system reboot (have a coffee).

It *should* now work. I have a feeling a reboot may get the latest edge to work without winding it back as well as the tunnel could just have failed.

    Anyway, hope it helps someone.

    Chris.

Im running, WHM 8.6.0 cPanel 8.7.0-E94
RedHat 7.2 - WHM X v2.1.2 the latest and i have no issues. Maybe you should check your server and why it crashed. Probably other reasons.

I think this was simply a tunnel error, a reboot would have probably fixed it, however in case anyone finds the same thing and gets worried I thought I would submit a post so they had an answer asap.

    Edge Crash

You may have updated to Edge-90 which did cause a crash. Update Edge-91 at the time fixed it, so you probably did not have a problem with your server.

We updated all of our servers at the same tim to Edge-90 and experienced the same on all. (actually a cpanel crash). Once we updated them all again to E-91, they were fixed.

    :)
