lfd on server.customer.com status: failed

    lfd failed @ Thu Apr 12 15:50:55 2012. A restart was attempted automagically.

    Service Check Method: [check command]

    Number of Restart Attempts: 58

    What do I do?

    LFD means login failure daemon from CSF firewall. Go to WHM -> ConfigServer Firewall

    Start it again.

    You may also try restarting chkservd on the server:

    service chkservd restart

    Also check the log file for errors:

    /var/log/lfd.log

    chkservd: unrecognized service
    root@server [~]# service chkservd restart
    chkservd: unrecognized service
    root@server [~]# /var/log/lfd.log
    -bash: /var/log/lfd.log: Permission denied
    root@server [~]#

    You can always just restart tailwatchd which will also restart chkservd:
