    Hello,

If you use WHM / cPanel on a virtual machine in Google Cloud, and then reboot the server, your cPanel license will be blocked by cPanel license check tool !.

So, you need to login as root by SSH, then execute the command
    Code:
    /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt
but this command will fix the problem once, after a second reboot your license will still blocked until you contact cPanel Support.

This happen because Google Cloud engine change automatically the server hostname to something like "myserver", but cPanel need FQDN like "myserver.mydomain.net".

We need a solution from cPanel developers team.

    Hello,

As you mentioned this is likely occurring due to the Google instance resetting the hostname upon reboot. You would need to ensure that the hostname is persistent. I was able to locate the following Stack Overflow article which may provide some more information on how you could accomplish this:

Google Compute Engine: how to set hostname permanently?

Additionally I would recommend reaching out to Google as they should be able to provide more information on how to retain the set hostname for their environment to work with cPanel.
