I've been using the WHM for about 4 years and have had no problems. Today, needing to set up a new account, I run into a page that says:

Your license could not be activated because:
Unknown License File Version (has=,needed=15). This means that the system failed to get a new license, or part of the update process failed. If you are the server admin, you should run /usr/local/cpanel/etc/init/stopcpsrvd and then /scripts/upcp --force to attempt to resyncronize.

I click the verify link and it says my WHM is not licensed. Is this something new? Why has it been working for years and now it's "not licensed"?

    Please help!!!

This inquiry would best be addressed by our billing team. It may just be a technical issue. You can contact our billing staff at billing@cpanel.net
