I am a little unsure on how the cPanel/WHM licensing would work for a VPS DR server, which is a carbon copy of the primary virtual server taken from a nightly backup. The backup of the virtual server is transferred to a different geographical location overnight, and in a complete worst case scenario would be brought up as the live server in the new location.

When bringing the copy of the server up in the new location, part of the procedure will involve changing the IP address to the new public IP address for that location. Does anybody know how I should license this? i.e. should it be a completely separate cPanel/WHM VPS license for the standby DR virtual server, or is there a way to use the existing VPS license and transfer the license in a DR scenario to the new public IP?

    Many thanks,
