    I configured the exim to send messages through Sendgrid and wanted to know how to limit the sending per hour?

    The Max hourly emails per domain option does not work when the messages are sent by an external service, only when sent by the server itself.

    Thank you for your help, but it did not work.

    I configured this way

    Service Configuration > Exim Configuration Manager > Basic Editor > Mail tab

    * server.mydomain.com

    Section: POSTMAILCOUNT
    remoteserver_route:
    driver = manualroute
    transport = remoteserver_relay
    domains = !+local_domains (changed to domains = section)
    route_list = * server.mydomain.com

    Section: TRANSPORTSTART
    remoteserver_relay:
    driver = smtp
    port = 587
    hosts_require_auth = server.mydomain.com
    hosts_require_tls = server.mydomain.com

    Section: AUTH
    remoteserver_login:
    driver = plaintext
    public_name = my login
    hide client_send = : email@mydomain.com : my password

    What did I do wrong?

    Hello,

    Can you verify which steps you are taking to test the email limit functionality?

    Thank you.

    I'm doing tests sending emails through roundcube.

    When the sending is done by the server itself the limitation works perfectly, but when I configure the external relay does not work

    Hello,

    Note that this configuration is unsupported, but feel free to open a support ticket using the link in my signature and we can check for any obvious issues with the configuration on your system.

    Thank you.

    I did not understand.

    Anyway, is it possible to limit the sending by external server?

    Hello,

    It should be possible through the steps referenced in the thread linked earlier. Could you open a support ticket so we can review your Exim configuration to verify it follows that guide?

    Thank you.
