I have a cPanel dedicated Server (CentOS 4.4 with Exim). I have two hosted clients who are on what AT&T refers to as "sticky static" PPPoE DSL, and are using Exchange Server 2003 servers. On my old Ensim {gagging noises} box with sendmail, I used to be able to edit the /etc/mail/access file:

    myclient-xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx-foo.dsl-business.sbcglobal.net RELAY

How do I do this in Exim? SBC/ATT has a throttle on the outgoing SMTP that prevents this client from using the Exchange server to send directly using Microsoft SMTP, so I have pointed the smarthost in Exchange to my IP address in the past and allowed relay from these two clients only.

Any help would be mucho appreciated!

Figured it out (thanks to the forum

This was a straightforward fix - I changed my search terms in the forum search and found the answer.

Essentially, if dealing with a single IP address, all that I needed to do was create /etc/alwaysrelay and insert the IP addresses (one to a line). Not difficult at all and works like a dream.
