Link pdf file to page - html editor

I see that the link button is not available for linking pdf file to page in html editor. I can only find a link for images.
Can anyone advise me how to do this in the new format.

Embed a pdf into the page.

I have uploaded a pdf into my cpanel pdf files. I used to select text I wanted to link a pdf file to and then in window upload the file from my cpanel saved files. I have tried to do this on the link button but it comes up with a different window but seem not to have the upload option that was there before. What is the way to do it with the new format. Thanks for any help.

The option to upload files in the HTML editor is reserved for images. You could use the "Source" option to manually embed the PDF file after uploading it through File Manager or FTP. There are several tutorials on how to embed a PDF file into an HTML page that you can find on search engines if necessary. Feel free to submit a feature request if you want to see a direct option to upload/embed a PDF file with the HTML editor:
