Little backup from Cpanel - uncompeleted backup from root

Hello
after we setup a new server with cloudlinux and move our accounts from old server (apache+PHP5.3.17+mysql5.1)
to this server ( apache+PHP5.3.17+mysql5.5)

after that when clients try to create a full backup the back up file is created with very small size ( 10 ~ 50KB)
and the automatic backup

create backup that they are lrger ( 100MB~2000MB ) that seems that size is related to data on server that gzipped
but when i give that backup to our customer he said some of the files are missing

what could cause this ?

where can i find backup logs ?

Hello

Do you notice any error messages in the cPanel error log (/usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log) when the user generates a backup through cPanel?
