    I'm Running RH 7.3
    WHM 10
    Cpanel 10-R149

Over the last three days I have seen my load average double on average. No increased activity on anything? Ram and Swap are perfect. When I ps -aux the server I see very few processes beyond the usual, but it looks like a lot of the httpd are sticking around.

Any idea what's going on? A Cpanel bug?

A 1000 Thanks for any input.

    Go on, have a guess
If you're seeing detached httpd processes (i.e. some that aren't part of the main httpd thread) from:

    ps axf

then you most likely have some PHP script exploits running. Another way to tell is to do:

    netstat -lpn

And look for httpd processes that are attached to ports other than 80 or 443.
