Hi

On our servers load is for eg\ and we use RAID 10 Disks

load average: 0.66, 0.24, 0.22

But when a customer runs a a very large backup it seems to create the files in the /home folder or / folder which are disks on their own. Also load goes sky high to 8 or even 10 sometimes

Anyway to allow all of this creation of compressed files and backup files to be done on say /backup partition instead? so no backup processing runs on /home or / partitions only "read".

Just asking :) May be silly question.

Hello :)

Could you verify if you are referring to backups generated by the account user from cPanel, or automatic backups configured through Web Host Manager?

Thank you.

It's not currently possible to modify the storage location for backups generated through cPanel as the user. Feel free to open a feature request for this via:

Thank you.
