Hi
On our servers load is for eg\ and we use RAID 10 Disks
load average: 0.66, 0.24, 0.22
But when a customer runs a a very large backup it seems to create the files in the /home folder or / folder which are disks on their own. Also load goes sky high to 8 or even 10 sometimes
Anyway to allow all of this creation of compressed files and backup files to be done on say /backup partition instead? so no backup processing runs on /home or / partitions only "read".
Just asking
May be silly question.
