    Hi

Is there anyway I can get access back to the system?

The stupid thing I did was chmod 644 -R /home/ *.php, now, I can't log in as root or any user (password deny)..
I'm stilled logged in as root, but I get permission denied to even do "top", chmod and ls...

have you tried to create a new whell user in the WHM or change root password through whm then use SSH to try to restore /home permissions?

in fact i dont know what relation it has /home with /root or suid

are you sure that has something to be with this 644 -R at /home ?

    do you have telnet working?

If the worst comes to the worst, as the NOC to boot the server to single user mode, and get them to sort the problem out that way. Another thing I do, is make a back door, a user that no one would guess and give it wheel access and use that if the worst comes to the worst, I can still get into the server.
