Log rotation, what's it do for cpanel users?

Hello,

particular cpanel accounts has error_log files in their website directories.

I want to ask if WHM somehow manage these files or they left untouched by whm/cpanel system and can grow into unlimited size?

I found log rotating feature, but im unsure if this is only for WHM itself log files (i mean control panel log files, not website log files) ?
