I normally get an hourly logcheck email notice from root each hour, but they've stopped as of yesterday. Can anyone advise me what sort of problem I should be looking for?
    Thank you.

Make sure crond is still running. If not, do this:
    /sbin/service crond restart

Thanks Andy! cron is running and I did the restart as well, still no luck. I'm kind of starting to worry a little about this...

    You could try this:

    /scripts/restartsrv_syslogd

    Might help.

bare in mind as well (although unlikely) if there is nothing logcheck deems a security failure or unusual event you wont recieve any mails (I rarely get any from a VPS running DNSONLY - only the occasional lame server message)

Thank you! That worked for a few days and the problem began again. I can just keep using that script every few days for now, but it sure would be nice to know why this just started happening after all this time.
