    Hi :)

One of my clients has an issue with their staff and has requested that I track the messages sent to either forward silently to his (CEO) mailbox, or that a log of the message is kept somewhere where he can access it via SSH/similar.

Is this done by default, or possible at all in cPanel/WHM?

In an ideal world, I'd like to be able to access the last 24hrs or so, grep for the offending users' address and send a copy of any messages sent out.

Can either be easily achieved (and if so how)?

    Thanks

cPanel has the functionality to forward incoming mail to another address (just set up a forwarder with the same address as the account/forwarder). However, cPanel/WHM does not support forwarding of mail outbound from your server.

As this can be considered wiretapping, you may wish to consult with your legal department prior to performing these tasks for your client.

That's great about incoming mail, but is there a piece of software or addin that I can grab to track outgoing messages for them? (Even a third party recommendation)? I'm pretty sure Exchange can do this..

This has been cleared by my lawyers, who happen to be this client too.

There have been many posts on this subject on this forum but I haven't seen any third party plug-ins to add this functionality to cPanel/WHM.
