    Hi.

I downloaded and installed cpanel on my centOS 4.1 box... got the 15 day trial etc...

After going through the setup, I created a user account for myself (jason) with the associated domain. But when I try to login to cpanel with that new username, it doesn't let me in.

I think the reason might involve the fact that it's asking me for the username twice... Once using the web-interface, and a second time with a popup window.

I ignored this problem when I first set it up (when I logged in as root) because even though it asked me for the user account, it still logged me in as root and I could make changes. This circumstance is different, however, because its not letting me in.

Can anyone tell me why this is, and how I can remove the problem?

    Thanks,

    -- Jason

Assuming you have tried to access the cpanel using the url

    http://yourserverip/cpanel
    or
    http://yourserverip:2082

and not using the WHM port

If you are still unable to login

    Try reseting the password
