    One of my clients after Yesterdays update told me he cannot send or recieve mails.
    In maillog I found
    Code:
    Jul  7 14:24:39 turbo pop3d: LOGIN FAILED, user=biuro@example.com.pl, ip=[::ffff:188.146.xxx.xxx]
    Jul 7 14:24:39 turbo authdaemond: Cpanel::MailAuth: Login not permitted to account with a uid lower than 500 (99)

    Where to look further for the solution mayby username - system creates an issue ?

    the last time I saw this happen it was because the server's hostname was the same as the sending domain, which is not a proper setup.

    Hello

    As mentioned by vanessa the error can happen if the domain name and the host name are identical. In such cases the mail server will try to authenticate it against system user of the server and instead of virtual domain. Do cross check and ensure that the domain is present in /etc/localdomains and /etc/userdomains as well. If that too doesn't help, contact cPanel support

    The hostname is totally different.
    But I found issue in /etc/userdomains - Thanks ssfred - but still do not understand why
    Code:
    [root@turbo etc]# more /etc/userdomains|grep example

    example.com.pl: nobody

    someusr.example.v24.pl: nobody

    [root@turbo etc]#

    Hello,

    Could you verify why these domain names are not owned by a cPanel account? For instance, were these added as special domain names for a specific purpose?

    Thank you.
