To access whm use

123.123.123/whm

123.123.123:2086

user name : root
password : root login details

Once you logged in as root user check whm documentation at WHM User Guide

123.123.123/cpanel

user name : do not use root user name, make sure that you are using cPanel user name which your friend used to create hosting account for your domain.
Password : You can use password, if you don't know cPanel password.

Note : If you haven't created any hosting account on new server then refer WHM documentation and create new account from WHM.
