    Hi,

    We have installed WHM on our new server. We do not have direct root access. Instead we use the username xyz and when root access is required we do sudo cmd...

    Please could anyone tell me how could we configure username xyz to login to WHM?

    Thank you,

    Kosala

    @adreno,

    Create the xyz account in your WHM, then assign the account to Wheel user. that's it.

    mageshm, wheel group is just for access to 'su' which it sounds like adreno has figured out already.

    adreno, You could allow xyz to log into WHM if you make it a reseller. Only root and reseller accounts can access WHM. You would have limited permissions and I do not believe resellers can "escalate" to root inside of WHM like you can with SSH access.

    Hello :)

    Yes, as mentioned, you would have to make the user a reseller and then grant it all privileges so that you can complete the same tasks. Even then, you may encounter some issues with options such as clustering if you do not access WHM as "root".

    Thank you.
