Hello,

this has been driving me nuts, but for the last week, the only way I can get our daily log rotation to work is to run it manually from the command line: /usr/sbin/logrotate -f /etc/logrotate.conf and it works fine.

The logrotate is in the /etc/cron.daily folder and was working fine for a long time, no problems. All the other log rotation files in the /etc/logrotate.d folder are setup properly and work fine if run manually.

according to the logrotation.status file in the /var/lib folder, indicates the logrotation has run automatically via the /etc/cron.daily/logrotate cron but none of the logs have actually been rotated or compressed. The logrotate.conf files seems to be ok and was working fine for quite some time.

Any suggestions or help to track this problem done would be appreciated.
