Hi,

We need to investigate a file unauthorizedly uploaded over a shared hosting account. FTP logs (var/log/messages) don't have an entry for the file. I assume it could be uploaded via File Manager interface too.

Where are the logs located for files uploaded/deleted via file manager? We are using CentOS.

Thank you.

You can check /usr/local/cpanel/logs/access_log

but it gets wiped every update/24 hr pd.

Thanks cpanelnick.

Perhaps the info has been wiped off as I couldn't get a mactch with grep command.

By any means, is there a way for someone to publish a file without using ftp, ssh or cpanel's file manager?

Regards.
