    Hi Folks,

I receive a logwatch message every day - until now, I've never really looked into it as it's so big - todays was 272kb!

Should I be examining it thoroughly?

    Anybody?

These files are getting bigger everyday!

Are there some docs anywhere that tell me what I should be looking out for?

I'm thinking you need to examine them...

I tried to find a thread that would help you cut down on the size a bit....but I'm not seeing it and I forget what it is you can do... :(

    *edit*
In-Addr-Arpa messages - getting a ton of those?
I know there's a way to remove them from your logwatch, and that will help the size A LOT! but I don't know how to do it and I can't find the thread...or maybe it was on another board....

    Go on, have a guess
If you want to stop the messages, simply remove the file:
    /etc/cron.daily/00-logwatch

However, if they're so large, you have an underlying problem that you really should address. Why are the log files so big? You should go through them and post here, if you want, whatever seems to be filling them up.
