Hi guys,
I have a nice cpanel server working with apache mpm event and i want to install nginx as a reverse proxy to get performance advantages.
So i want use both nginx and apache, i don't want to replace apache.
Most of my websites are wordpress, joomla ,magento , etc

I have some questions:

what is the best apache mpm to work with nginx ?
what must i do with websites using cloudflare?
for installation it is better to use easyapache cpanel nginx or engintron?
what must i backup before installation?
in case of rollback can i get in trouble?
Must i hire an expert or can i do by myself ??? ( i use shell and whm but i don't have in-depth knowledge of nginx)

thank you very much

Hey there! We actually just recently updated our documentation to talk about setting up nginx with a reverse proxy. You can find details on that here:

It's important to note that the Nginx tools available through cPanel are still in the experimental phase, as outlined in that document. I would recommend reading through that page to see if that is work you are comfortable doing, or if you need the assistance of an admin - since this is still experimental software, our support is very limited, even if you run into issues.

Hi,

I'm using Engintron from so many time ago and we are happy with the solution, works with mod_lsapi, works with Imunify360... works great.

Las year, on june, you recommended Engintron because they have built in cache (How to Install and Manage NGINX on cPanel | cPanel Blog). However, now Nginx on cPanel have built in caching.

So the question is, for reverse proxy, do you still recommend Engintron? Or maybe it's better the new Nginx on cPanel?

Hello,

We do recommend cPanel's ea-nginx package for reverse proxy for one important reason: We can directly provide you support for it. It's our package, installed from our ea4 repositories, designed and qa-tested for operation within the context of WHM/cPanel management.

Which is 'better', per se? That's entirely subjective and specific to an admin's particular needs.
