I have two machines running cPanel/WHM. Both have a global IP and both have a second network card connected to each other.

The web server is on one machine and I only run MySQL on the second one. A couple of times a week, the web server will suddenly not be able to connect to the database server. However, I can still pull up the DB server from the web, WHM, cPanel, etc. Sometimes the problem will go away in 30 minutes or so, but I usually do a "graceful server reboot" on each of them and that fixes it.

Neither one has an especially high load when this happens. How can I figure out what is causing this problem?

    Thanks,
    Mickey
