lost root password

    hello, what i have to do if i lost root password?
    but i have SSH access on the server,
    what i can do to rest the root pass?
    plz help,

    You can change the password of the SSH user you are logged in as by using the passwd command. You do, however, need to know the password in order to change it.

    If you can login to WHM as root (perhaps if you told your browser to store your login details), you can use WHM > Server Setup > Change Root Password.

    If all else fails, contact your data center.

    oops, sorry to forget the detalhe,
    i lost the WHM root password
    but i have access ob the box, so i cant rest the pass useing ssh?

    i lost the WHM root pass,

    You can only reset the root password by rebooting the server into single user mode and logging in via the serial console. If you don't have access to the console, you'll have to get your datacentre to do it for you.
