Every now and then there suddenly pops up processes with user cPanel.
    WHM shows the next:
Pid Owner Priority Cpu % Mem % Command
    22962 cpanel 0 24.3 0.5 /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/php /usr/local/cpanel/base/horde/imp/mailbox.php

    What is this process?

make: *** No rule to make target `install'. Stop.
PHP version file is up to date

It would help to know which OS you're running. Depending on your OS, you might try:

    /scripts/ensurerpm libxml2 libxml2-python

If you check the horde folder in the /usr/local/cpanel/base folder, you'll most likely see a slew of core dumps. It appears this issue is being caused by a bug related to memory in PHP. I believe this is fixed in the PHP 4.4.1 branch. I've yet to confirm this resolves the issue, but examining your core dumps might give you an idea if indeed it is dumping cores for yourself.

Beau, if it's memory related, could it be the new restricter in WHM > Tweak Settings > The maximum memory a cPanel process can use before it is killed off? Just a thought, upping that to 256 or 512 might be an idea if it's a resource depletion issue and that restriction is imposed on horde processes.

    I have exactly this problem.
PHP Version 4.4.1 doesn't seem to help here.

Horde has not failed, there is an issue locally on your server.

We'd be more than happy to assist:

Have you opened a support ticket with us or your NOC about it so they/we can look specifically into your issue?

What is its number (if its a cPanel ticket, if its an NOC ticket please contact them)?

Please note that this forum is not an avenue of direct supprot from cPanel as per:
    http://support.cpanel.net

So its not that we "do not care" its that we do support via our support system not the public forum for end users to "Talk with other cPanel Users" for obvious reasons.

    HTH :)
