On an MySQL fail, I discovered my /var folder filled up all by its lonesome, and in tracking down what is taking up space, I noticed about 100 folders in
    /var/named/chroot/proc/

and digging deeper, I get a report like this
    @[/var/named/chroot/proc/8401/task/8401]# ls
./ attr/ cmdline environ fd/ maps mounts smaps statm wchan
    ../ auxv cwd@ exe@ loginuid mem root@ stat status

about half the folders look to have about a half Meg each, so it adds up. Most of these are new folders, so I figure they're what's tipping things over the size limit.
I have about 90 user accts on the server, but the
    /var/named directory is over 900M

    rebooting hasn't affected anything.

    Any ideas?

    Responding to my own thread.
Things have calmed down and the /var is no longer filling up with files.

Looking back, it looks like it might have been a result of a previous Cpanel install, but I'm not sure which one it was
    Current18429(?) or so.

Digging down in some of the folders, there's a bunch of symlinks for a number leading to the various domains.

    [/var/named/chroot/proc/29676/fd]# ls
    ./ 113@ 130@ 147@ 162@ 178@ 193@ 208@ 223@ 29@ 45@ 61@ 77@ 94@
