    Hi,

I just did ps aux and noticed that there are lots of old sshd processes listed. I have the feeling those shouldn't be there.

    This are just a few:

    Code:
    root 3421 0.0 0.0 98488 1036 ? S Jun29 0:00 sshd: unknown [priv]
    sshd 3422 0.0 0.0 65376 596 ? S Jun29 0:00 sshd: unknown [net]
    root 3423 0.0 0.0 98488 1044 ? S Jun29 0:00 sshd: unknown [priv]
    sshd 3424 0.0 0.0 65376 576 ? S Jun29 0:00 sshd: unknown [net]
    root 3515 0.0 0.0 98524 2784 ? Ss Aug26 0:00 sshd: root [priv]
    sshd 3516 0.0 0.0 65412 1396 ? S Aug26 0:00 sshd: root [net]
    root 3813 0.0 0.0 98488 780 ? S Jun20 0:00 sshd: root [priv]
    sshd 3814 0.0 0.0 65376 320 ? S Jun20 0:00 sshd: root [net]
    root 3893 0.0 0.0 98528 3604 ? Ss Sep01 0:00 sshd: unknown [priv]
    sshd 3895 0.0 0.0 65416 1692 ? S Sep01 0:00 sshd: unknown [net]
    root 3897 0.0 0.0 98528 3604 ? Ss Sep01 0:00 sshd: unknown [priv]
    sshd 3898 0.0 0.0 65416 1688 ? S Sep01 0:00 sshd: unknown [net]

Any idea what this might be? I connect with root every now and then. Could it be that the connections stay? But then, what would those "unknown" ones be?
Can I kill these processes? I just restarted ssh but the processes remained.

    Thanks!
