    That thread has nothing to do with the problems within this one. It also has nothing to do with "new cpanel" the issue is if you upgrade exim andhave split spools enabled whereas previously it wasn't - still not to do with this thread.

    I am also getting this error. This is something that is not wide spread but is affecting a lot of accounts on the server.

    One thing that I did notice is that this is only happening to the primarry accounts for a domain. This could be something that was missed in an update and all primarry accoutns are being affected.

    ANY idea's????

    This is a big problem!

    After restarting exim and rebuilding mail accounts this has now spread to more accounts?? Anyone have any clues how to fix this?

    Try this : my con. with cpanel team.
    The problem has to do with a option that we added in the /etc/exim.conf file for Split Spool Directories that breaks in MailScanner. To fix it, do the following:

    If you want to pernantely turn off split_spool_directory, use the Exim Configuration Editor in the WHM Manager and set the option:

    split_spool_directory = no

    to the top box in the advanced Exim Configuration Editor. It will be retained between versions.

    Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, this didn't fix the problem either.

    Are you running MailScanner?

    If not, you could try:

    /scripts/reseteximtodefaults

    Which does just that - resets exim and gets rid of any customisations. If you do have MailScanner installed, then the issue is most likely to do with split spools in exim.
