    I got a VPS's running Centos 7.2 and cPanel.
    • VPS1.example.com

I want to be able to send and recieve emails from the example.com domain. How do I achieve that when cPanel states the following regarding the hostname setup.

You can create a cPanel account using the domain name that's also used for the vps1.example.com if you like.

I was under the impression this could be causing some complications on the server. Or is this normal practice and uncomplicated?

I'm not aware of any issues doing so, no.
