Mail being delivered incorrectly

Has there been any update to the email problems with CPanel 5? The problem with the mail being delivered to:
/home/$user/mail/$domain/$email_account/inbox

instead of
/home/$user/mail/$email_account/inbox ?

I know you can run the /scripts/convertemails5, but in order to get that to work, you must delete the /home/$user/mail/$domain directory, which in turn deletes all the mail that the user has recieved since the problem began. Also that does not seem to be a permanent fix, as it will last for a day, then the same procedure must be gone through again. I have been creating symbolic links from the $domain directory to the mail directory, since that will keep the previous emails. Are there any new work arounds, or any hope for this problem to be fixed?
