    Hello,
from today, on 2 domain of the same customer there is a strange problem.
If I send an email to masteraccount@domain.ext I get no error back but the mail is not delivered to the account.
I have tried this command from another server to that address :

    echo "hello world" | mail -v masteraccount@domain.ext

and I see that the mail server answer right and accept the mail but the master inbox of the domain is always at zero bytes.
The only strange things that I have seen is that I see the files
    INBOX.Drafts
    INBOX.Sent
    INBOX.Trash
and I don't know what are them.

I have tried to upgrade cpanel to last build, reinstall exim4, restart it, but the problem is the same.
The mail are not in the queue and are not delivered.

Any idea of what to check ?

    Thank you

Had similar error. I reset the default account and everything worked again. I assume it has something to do with the last update to cPanel that caused this.

    Hope this helps you.

    --EDIT--
All email sent, as far as I can tell, is toast. If someone knows how to get it back please post how to do it.

Log into the account's cPanel (I know it's painful but I haven't figured out another way) and go to email and default address. You then want to "change" the default address to what it is currently set as.

This only has to be done, as far as I can tell, when the default account is set to "name@domain.com" when it should be "name".

This is a VERY widespread problem on my server. Most people have set this to owneracc@theirdomain.tld. I am manually editing the files in valises. Someone who is good with bash might want to come up with a script to fix this...
