mail delivery error: unroutable

    I did a search on the forums and found a couple of methods which unfortunately did not work for me whatsoever.

    I turned off "track origins of email headers..." in WHM.
    I turned off "prevent user nobody from sending...." in WHM

    According to another thread:

    Added 2 lines into the Mailman configuration in the /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/Mailman/mm_cfg.py with this:

    # Max recipients for each message
    SMTP_MAX_RCPTS = 20
    # Max messages sent in each SMTP connection
    SMTP_MAX_SESSIONS_PER_CONNECTION = 15

    I'm getting this error everytime I send mass email (about 100) to my members:

    This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

    A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

    member@domain.com
    unrouteable mail domain "domain.com"

    ------ This is a copy of the message, including all the headers. ------

    Return-path: <sales@domain.com>
    Received: from nobody by server.domainname.com with local (Exim 4.43)

    Message-ID: <i648m0.w9yiq7@domain.com>
    Date: Sun, 24 Oct 2004 21:10:48 -0400

    Then it shows a bunch of characters, a sample piece below:

    What could cause this?

    I have this same problem from time to time.
    Could someone please explain waht causes it and how to remedy this.

    I can understand if the domain can't be resolved but what about addresses that can be actually traced through WHM?

    I am finding it difficult explaining to users why they can't send mail.
    Thank you

    This is mail coming from a script right?

    Make sure that the silently discard formmail with bcc: header is not ticked. That did the trick here...other then that, it's stumped me too.

    Thanks for your response.

    This is not mail from scripts. Just normal users trying to send mail with Outlook express, Micorsoft outlook etc.

    Really would like to know why this is happening.

    You might have to post an example of your problem, yours is probably a totally different problem...the first post is from a script

    I have this problem appear ever now and again, at the same time I also see an increase in the number of mails routed through nobody. I believe that once nobody has reached it's max number of outgoing mails the server then starts showing these errors. I believe phpsuexec may help but I am scarred to install it as I have 480 websites on my server most using php.
