Try to ping the destination remotedomain.com (the subdomain mail.remotedomain.com may not exist in that destination DNS !)
If you cannot resolve it, there may be several reasons:
  • Your resolvers are not functioning as intended
  • There is/was a temporary failure in the destination DNS.
  • The destination DNS records have not yet fully propagated.
  • Either your server, or the destination server is being blocked by some blacklist
  • The destination mail-server is incorrectly configured
  • etc etc
If all other mail from your server is delivered normally, then you have to assume the problem is at the recipient end, and all you can do as a server administrator is reach out to the recipient server operator, and ask for help resolving the issue.

Thanks for your answer!
mail.remotedomain.com has a different IP from remotedomain.com
I can ping remotedomain.com but not mail.remotedomain.com

I can ping mail.remotedomain.com from other server.
