    Hello,
    I have just ran into a problem with my mail. It seems I can not receive any mail hosted on the server. Restarted exim and its status is up but I can not receive I get notifications that it failed.

    Any help would be appreciated,
    Alexander V.

    You will have to check the exim_mainlog to find out the exact issue. Anyway the scripts mailperm will fix common permission issues. But since the issue is for all the domians, i fell the issue might be something else which you can find from the log.

    I never fooled with the mail logs, or anything just decided to break. I'll try to make the permissions work.

    If this problem is server wide, then it could be a number of different things including DNS. Make sure your DNS zones and other files are configured properly.

    Go on, have a guess
    As Aby has said. If you're having problems with email you do need to tail /var/log/exim_mainlog and watch it for errors and messages. If you are not receiving any messages within that log file for emails, then you may well have DNS problems, in which case, check your domains over at www.dnsreport.com

    Is the problem solved? if not, then why don't you get some one to look into your box.

    How can you afford to have mails down for about 10 days now.

    had the same sort of issues, did this and it works usually;

    ssh to root
    then type cd /etc
    then delete eximmailtrap

    that should get the emails coming through again.
