After upgrading to 9.4.1-STABLE_56, it seems that the files under:

    /home/username/mail/emailuser/inbox AND
    /home/username/mail/domainname/emailuser/inbox

are NOT linked anymore. As an example:

    /home/gladtid/mail/support/
    -rw-rw---- 1 gladtid mail 111159 Jun 23 01:36 inbox

    /home/gladtid/mail/gladtidings.net/support/
    -rw-rw---- 1 gladtid gladtid 0 Jun 24 10:01 inbox

And, they should be the same size, right?

    Kindly assist ASAP.

I never let the posting script automatically parse my URL's because unless it's a simple one, it doesn't always know where to do it. By doing it manually with the "Insert a hyperlink into your message" option, I know it goes in right. ;)

    Tried with no success...

I tried the perl script that was provided (Thank you very much), and it seemed to link it up, but when someone checked e-mail on Outlook, it would be out of sync again.

I reckon the inboxes were only copied to each other, but are not linked to one another still...

    Any other solutions?

Well take a backup of the inbox, delete the mailbox, restore the mailbox back ;)

This is for every SINGLE mailbox on my server. No way I can do that, there are thousands of them. The Stable upgrade really caused me havoc.

    Any other ideas?

Sorry, what I meant was, see the links to "a fix" listed in the top 3 posts... I was just wondering if anyone knows what is actually causing this to happen..

Well, that fix surely didn't work for us. It doesn't seem to recreate the link between the inbox files. All it did for us is to "combine" the inboxes so that both are the same size. But as soon as more mails come in, it's out of sync again.

All we did was to upgrade cpanel to the latest Stable version, and now it's screwed. I've contacted cpanel via their ticketing system, but no reply or assistance yet. This is getting rather annoying...

    Go on, have a guess
    Hi,

Did any of the raised tickets get a technical response to the problem? I've got some accounts over quota because of the descrepency and while I can easy empty/combine the inbox files, it's a bit pointless if the problem is going to recur?

You haven't posted your ticket number, so there is no way to figure out where your ticket is and help you.

I now have a user who is having mail rejected because of being over quota. The quota file says 20meg, and the 2 mail directories (/home/user/mail/user/ and /home/user/mail/domain.name/user/) are both showing 9.7meg. Mail logs show the mail being rejected so it looks like it is counting both inboxes?

Bug 893 has been added to the database

sorry if this maybe a stupid question, but can someone explain to me WHY is each mailbox created twice once in /home/username/mail/mailboxname and another in /home/username/mail/domain/mailboxname ?

it doesnt make much sense to me...
