Mail Issue

    Hi guys,

    I am able to receive mails fine. but I am unable to send mails out. I am NOT using outlook express either, I am using webmail to send not even a error message. I tried restarting exim as well. any idea ??

    Dear Markwaugh,

    Have you tried putting the SMTP server from the account that you can send mails from into the address of the ones that you can\'t send mails from and see if this makes any difference.

    Same problem here. Receiving emails is no problem.

    Sending them... well at first it there does not seem to be a problem but they just never arrive. Anywhere...
    They do not bounce back either with an error message. After sending them they just vanish.

    This happens on all accounts and I've tested it both with webmail as with Outlook.

    Customers are now using their ISP's SMTP server instead while this problem continues

    send a mail from console and tail the exim_mainlog to see if there are any errors in that.

    If that doesnt help, do

    exim -bt -d remote_address and go through the output.. that should have the reason for failure.
