any idea why whenever i send an email, it comes back with this error:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

    Subject: test
    Sent: 11/19/2004 10:25 AM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

    'matrixdude23@aol.com' on 11/19/2004 10:25 AM
    503 No recipient(s).

Do you experience the same problem when sending a message to an OAL address using a different account other than 'matrixdude23@aol.com'?

There is no bounce. The server isn't simply accepting any SMTP e-mails :(.

Did you restart the mail server (Exim?) Are the emails being sent through Horde, or Outlook, etc.?

Any errors should be within the logs, have you checked

    /var/log/exim_mainlog /var/log/exim_paniclog ?

Have a look there, as that will likely tell you what to look for.

What permissions do you have on /dev/null ?

    Go on, have a guess
You need to post the messages from the exim mainlog as DigitalN has already suggested to identify where the problem might be.

I had this problem too, then I looked at the logs. Apparently I have SMTP Authentication activated. No wonder it wouldn't send, if no pass was set. Well, works now that I enabled it in my Email client :p

Hope this helps anyone who is searching through this forum with the same problem :)

    Cheers,
