Mail POP3 - Timeout

    Hi all,

    sorry if the question was asked often before (if so I hop ethe r&d team is working on a fix).

    I have switched server and both had the same timeout problem for the pop3 connection. I've tried to find logs somewhere for the POP3 server but couldn't find anything.

    1- How can I fix this timeout error which I am not convinced is being triggered by a real timeout but more on the server side.
    2- Where are the logs for the POP3


    Suggestion
    1- Choice of POP3 server?
    2- A page within WHM to see all logs for every software runnin and configured by CWH?

    cPanel Access Level:
    DataCenter Provider
    your mail logs are located /var/log/maillog

    most of your logs are located in these areas
    /var/log
    /usr/local/apache/logs
    /usr/local/apache/domlogs
    /usr/local/cpanel/logs

    Thanks I'll look it those logs!

    Anyone had the timeout problem and fixed it? I'll try to add some error logs here.

    if you are truley having a timeout issue the logs will be blank ( is your pop 3 mail running )

    is your ip your are connecting on being blocked by some firewall rule?

    It is not a problem that is always present. It does happens few times a day but I do not get any error sent to me. I have maillog until maillog.3 only the last one is not empty.

    Again any hints or Url will be appreciated :)

    Note: It is sad that the mail portion of Cpanel/WHM is not geared with mor ecomplete tools
