    Hi,

    over the past weeks we've had a major spam problem on one of our servers. Hundred thousands of emails were sent each and every day through our server, most of them to hotmail accounts. The problem's now solved, but it seems that our server now can't deliver mails to hotmail accounts anymore. Our mail queue is filled with messages for hotmail accounts and when we try to deliver them it says always something like this:

    Message 1Drseq-0008F7-8P is not frozen
    LOG: MAIN
    cwd=/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot 4 args: /usr/sbin/exim -v -M 1Drseq-0008F7-8P

    So I suppose our server is blocked by hotmail, which of course is a major problem. Is there anybody out there who knows what to do to solve this? :confused:

    Thanks :cool:

    You need to ask hotmail people to remove your IP from their black list....The reason is commonly due to your IP address. The IP you are on can be part of a blocked network, or your IP may not match your DNS records. Usually it is because your ISP provider has an authorized SMTP server to relay through and to use to send mail from the network. All of your ISPs IP addresses may be blocked by Microsoft because there have been high instances of Spam from that IP range. Normally in this case it is recommended to contact the postmaster group at the networks that is blocking your emails.

    Thanks, but the problem was already solved. I've mailed Hotmail support yesterday and yes, the server ip was blocked by Hotmail. They said the block lasts for 24 to 48 hours and then is removed. A few hours later all mails in our queue were delivered so it seems everything's fine again now. :D
