My mail queue is accumulating 50,000+ emails per day (typo in subject line... should read 50,000), almost all of which are spam. Is my machine sending these, or are these failed delivery messages where my clients' email has been spoofed in the "from" field? How can I tell? There is nothing in the text of these emails to indicate it is a failed delivery. What should I do?
I deleted my mail queue about 2 minutes ago and already have 80 emails in it again. At this rate, I'm getting 2400 an hour.
Edited to Add: Most of the spam are sent using esmtp. I could delete any email with "esmtp" in the header... would that be a good or bad idea?
