    Some issues here.

    One,

I can send email but I receive nothing. I reinstalled EXIM as well (forced).
    Logs show this:

    2005-06-10 16:19:54 1Dgpyp-0002qT-Or => /dev/null <utest@domain.com> R=central_filter T=**bypassed**
    2005-06-10 16:19:54 1Dgpyp-0002qT-Or Completed

    I tried webmail / Outlook.

    My setup:

    cpanel 10.2x CURRENT
    default catch all = fail
inlude list of pop before smtp senders... ON
Silently Discard all FormMail-clone requests with a bcc: header in the subject line... ON
track origin of messages sent through mail servrer... OFF
    prevent user nobody... OFF
max emails domain can send per hour.....100

    EXIM config:
    Always set the Sender: OFF
verify the existance of email senders ON
    discard emails..... ON

    Ran

    /scripts/exim4 --force (v4.5x)
    /scripts/fixcommonproblems

Also, I stopped receiving logs from logwtach.

I ran /etc/rc.d/init.d/crond restart and results were ok. waited 24+ hrs and emails still in mail prerfence / edit setup in WHM as usual.

The reference to /dev/null indicates that the address you sent it to thinks it should be going to :blackhole:

Your WHM settings are not as important as the settings for this domain in cpanel. Log into the cpanel for this domain, and set up a specific email address. set the default address to :fail: and then try adn send an email to the specific email address that you created.

The "default address" settings in cpanel is already set to

    :fail: no such address here

by the way, I forgot to mention that I already did create a test email as well

"default address' setting still the same on fail

I traced the first email problem down to Spam assassin blocking everything.

I still have the other email problem (screenshot attached)

Still can't send to the address 'frank@thedomain.com' from any address on the server xx.9.181.63.
Am getting same error messages as detailed in previous email (and included below).

Here's the response from tech support where thedomain.com is hosted:

I have received no other complaints for the mail server that you are
on. One thing to check is that the sending mail server's IP does not
change after the first deferment as they are tracked by IP address.

Also, make sure that the sending mail server is set to retry on
    temporary failures.

If the message was actually not delivered, you should have received a
permanent failure error message. Permanent failure error codes start
    with a 5.

Our server will always reply with a message that details the error
along with a link to a webpage that further explains it. If you are
getting permanent failures, please let me know which one and I will
    let you know the cause.

Oddly EXIM mail server is working fine for everyone else as it seems

It sounds like you might not have root access on this server? If so, that is going to make diagnosing this difficult. If you do, then the response from the tech about others using this mail server are not reporting issues is very confusing.

If you do have access toroot on the server, I would be interested to know the contents of the valiases files for this domain.

I have root. I check exim main log and found these for example

    Code:
    2005-06-06 14:00:02 H=(ylm29.prodigy.net) [xxx.115.57.60] sender verify fail for <frank@domain.com>: Unrouteable address
    2005-06-06 14:00:02 H=(ylm29.prodigy.net) [xxx.115.57.60] F=<frank@domain.com> rejected RCPT <steve@domain.com>: Sender verify failed
    2005-06-06 19:32:45 H=([192.168.1.100]) [xx.218.154.78] F=<steve@domain.com> rejected RCPT <frank@domain.com>: Unrouteable address
    2005-06-06 19:52:49 H=([192.168.1.100]) [xx.218.154.78] F=<steve@domain.com> rejected RCPT <frank@domain.com>: Unrouteable address

Sounds like my server is causing the issue by not allowing sender receipt. How do I correct this?

I have a gut feeling it is that EXIM ACL dictionary attack that I installed.

I have several other servers now facing the same issue.

I'm unsure how to uninstall it or find a workaround

If you think you have messed up something with exim, you can run

    /scripts/reseteximtodefaults

and this will remove all exim customizations and do just what the script implies.
