mail server refuses connection

hi

my clients can't receive or send mails via outlook or mozilla (I suppose email clients in general).
they get a "connection refused" error.
the outlook error message apparently usually includes the number 0x800cccZZ (ZZ being two variables)

looks like all the clients on that server are affected.

webmail seems to work though

exim version:4.24-30


any ides?

Under Tweak Settings in WHM, do you have the option "Attempt to prevent pop3 connection floods" enabled?
