Mail sometimes won't go through - whose fault?

A recipient on a mailman list hosted on my server seems to generate almost all the undelivered legitimate email on my queue.

The recipient is not a techie at all, so little help from that end.

What is strange is that the email occasionally goes through, and the email address is OK.

So... does the following help indicate whether the problem is at our end or at his end, and suggest any solution?

(I have suspected an SPF problem, but added "v=spf1 a mx ptr ~all" for that domain, which seemed to result in the mail flowing again for a while, then it stopped again.)

This is as I get it from trying to "deliver now" in whm/mail queue:
